By ramming two men’s cars off the road, Mahek Bukhari and her mother killed two individuals.

For the murder of two men during an alleged extortion attempt, a former TikTok fashion celebrity and her mother were each given a life sentence. The victims were chased by the British women, together with a number of male acolytes, in a fast-paced car chase that resulted in a fiery collision.

On Friday, Mahek Bukhari, 24, was given a life sentence with a minimum of 31 years and 8 months in jail, and her mother, Ansreen Bukhari, was given a minimum term of 26 years and 9 months. Three other men received 14-year sentences for manslaughter, while the two guys who participated in the double murder received comparable prison sentences.

In the UK, whole life sentences are uncommon; the majority of murderers are imprisoned for 15–20 years.

Mahek Bukhari, a small celebrity on TikTok before murdering Saqib Hussain and Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin, both 21 years old, in February, had attracted 120,000 followers by sharing fashion-related videos and occasionally including her mother.

At the hearing on Friday, Leicester Crown Court judge Timothy Spencer stated that “TikTok and Instagram are at the heart of this case.” You, Mahek, left school for that reason, I believe. If you hadn’t done it, you would currently be a recent graduate with the rest of your life ahead of you. You now restrict your best years to serving time in prison.

Spencer said to the court that Ansreen Bukhari’s 46-year-old desire to adopt her daughter’s lifestyle caused her to pursue an adulterous relationship with Hussain. Spencer claimed that Ansreen Bukhari’s “head was turned” by the “perceived glamour” of her daughter’s world.

Hussain allegedly tried to break up with Ansreen and threatened to send her husband sexually explicit pictures and videos of her if she didn’t pay him back the $3.778 ($3,000) he claimed to have spent on dates with her.

In February of last year, Hussain requested money from Mahek’s mother. Mahek agreed to meet him in a parking lot in Leicester and give him the money. Ijazuddin drove Hussain to the rendezvous, but when they arrived, they found that the Bukharis had set up an ambush. The mother, the daughter, and their male acolytes drove after the two victims separately in two different cars. The court overheard Ijazuddin calling the police during the chase and saying, “They’re attempting to ram us off the road. I’m about to die, so if you could just hear me out.

A scream and a smash signalled the end of the phone conversation. The Skoda that Hussein and Ijazuddin were travelling in hit a tree and caught fire. As reported by witnesses at the site, the automobile “virtually split in two.”
