The All Progressives Congress (APC) has started selling nomination and expression of interest forms for chairperson and councillor elections ahead of the Borno State local government poll in January 2024.

Malam Makinta Zarami, the state publicity secretary, announced in a statement that the sales, which started on September 20, will finish on September 28.

There will be no provision for an extension, therefore interested party members are recommended to collect the form within the allotted period, according to Zarami.

The Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) issued a schedule for the council election on August 2, according to OBASANJO NEWS24.

The BOSIEC election schedule states that parties must submit a list of nominees on October 16 for screening, with the final display of qualified candidates taking place on November 19.

Election day is set for January 20, 2024, and the parties’ election campaigns will start on November 28 and run through January 18.
