Bayern Munich delayed Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title celebrations by securing a victory against Cologne, who are fighting against relegation. The defending champions needed just one point to prevent conceding the title to Leverkusen.

During the first half, England captain Harry Kane and Mathys Tel both hit the post, causing frustration for Bayern Munich. However, the team managed to turn things around with goals from Raphael Guerreiro and Thomas Muller, ultimately securing the win.

Following this victory, Bayern Munich now trails Bayer Leverkusen by 13 points with only five games left in the season. This puts Xabi Alonso’s team in a position to be crowned German champions for the first time if they secure a win against Werder Bremen on Sunday.

Bayern Munich has been dominant in the Bundesliga, winning 11 consecutive top-flight titles since Borussia Dortmund’s triumph in the 2011-2012 season.

However, with the current standings, it seems like their reign might be coming to an end soon.

Guerreiro’s goal from 25 yards, after a corner from Joshua Kimmich, and Muller’s late goal in stoppage time sealed the victory for Bayern Munich against Cologne.

This win was crucial in their quest to delay Leverkusen’s title celebrations and keep their hopes alive for a little longer.
