Former President Barack Obama energized the crowd at the Democratic National Convention as he took the stage to back Kamala Harris, urging unity and action with his rallying call, ‘Let’s get to work!’
In a display of endorsement for Kamala Harris’s last-minute campaign to become the next President in November’s election, Barack Obama, ex-President of the United States, made an appearance at the Democratic National Convention.
Entering the Chicago platform, Obama was greeted by thunderous cheers from a crowd who had previously listened to speeches delivered by Michelle Obama, Doug Emhoff (Harris’ husband), and other experienced members of both Democratic and former Republican parties that withdrew their support for Donald Trump.
At 63 years old, Obama made history as the first Black American elected to the White House. Demonstrating his prowess as an orator, he lauded President Joe Biden and expressed pride in referring to him not only as president but also friend.
Recognizing the magnitude of the challenge ahead for Harris and her partner Tim Walz in their bid for White House victory within just 11 weeks, he encouraged individuals to “strive towards a trustworthy America” and actively participate in voting.
He cautioned that it will be a close competition in a polarized nation, where numerous Americans are still facing difficulties.
According to Obama, Donald Trump considers power as a tool for his personal benefit. He also stated that the nation does not require another term of disorderliness and incompetence like before. It is time to turn over a new leaf in America’s history by electing Kamala Harris as President.

Harris is seeking to make history on November 5 as the first woman, and first person of Black and South Asian descent, to be elected president. Obama has endorsed her with his substantial political influence after speaking for over thirty minutes.
Boisterous applause, cheers and whistles greeted Michelle as she took the stage before her husband Obama.
She began an optimistic endorsement of Harris and Walz by proclaiming, “Hope is experiencing a resurgence.”
Speaking as a former first lady, she emphasized the importance of moving beyond fear and division in our country. She warned that Trump would likely attempt to twist Harris’s words, just like he tried his best to scare people about herself and her husband.
From 2009 to 2017, the White House was occupied by the Obamas.
Asking, she drew laughter from the crowd with her question: “Should we inform him that he might be looking for a ‘Black job’?”
This week, Trump and JD Vance, his running mate for vice president, are touring crucial swing states to divert focus from the convention in Chicago.
On Tuesday, the Democrat convention heard from former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham and formerly pro-Trump voter Kyle Sweetser. Both individuals have left the Republican party.
