Sowunmi Ayodeji Kayode, a prominent drug dealer with a base in Lekki, Lagos, is the target of a manhunt undertaken by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
In a statement released on Wednesday, Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy at the NDLEA Headquarters in Abuja, made this announcement.
The statement claims that Kayode, who is now on the run, tried to avoid capture when agents searched his home last weekend by running over an NDLEA officer with his fancy car.
NDLEA officers invaded the home of the sought drug dealer, located at 2/3 Adetola Ayeni close, Lekki, Lagos, last Friday for a search and potential arrest based on reliable information that he was dealing in illegal substances.
However, Kayode was not home when the anti-drug officers entered his property.
However, the drug dealer came back while his flat was being searched.
In a dramatic turn of events, as soon as he approached the property and spotted NDLEA personnel, he put his car in reverse, killed one of the officers, and tore down his gate before ramming the car through the fence of the neighbouring compound.
He jumped out of the automobile to flee as the speed of his car also caused the neighbor’s compound’s concrete wall to collapse.
