Aloy Ejimakor, the legal representative of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has confirmed that the legal team is fully prepared for the upcoming trial scheduled for Monday.

In a statement shared on social media platform X, Ejimakor emphasized that Kanu’s legal team is geared up and ready for the trial at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The post included a public notice informing the public that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case is slated to take place on the 20th of May, 2024, with the court session commencing at 12 noon at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The #MnkLegalTeam is described as being fully prepared and in a state of readiness for the legal battle ahead, with a resolute stance of #NoShaking.

Ejimakor also expressed gratitude towards the Supreme Court of Nigeria for its ruling in the case of FGN v #MNK, highlighting the importance of upholding the rule of law and condemning any actions that undermine it.

The statement raised critical questions about the implications of a government resorting to criminal acts in the name of crime prevention and control, emphasizing the need for justice and the preservation of the rule of law.

Kanu is expected to face trial for terrorism charges at the Federal High Court in Abuja, following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Appeal Court’s ruling that had previously acquitted him of these charges.
