Senate President Ahmed Lawan says that the 2023 Appropriations Bill is likely to be signed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
After visiting the president in his office on Friday, the congressman made this statement. He informed the Nigerian president of the passage of the Finance Bill, the 2022 Supplementary Appropriation Bill, and the Appropriations Bill, among other matters of national importance, according to State House Correspondents.

Even though the National Assembly hopes to get the president’s approval on the first working day of the New Year, he said that Lawan had explained that the bill’s passage had been delayed because some of the numbers given to NASS were wrong.
This would be the first appropriations bill to receive the President’s assent following the start of a new year in the previous four years.
