Law enforcement authorities in Lagos detain two individuals on charges of manufacturing fake drinks

Imo Lawrence, aged 35, and his associate Magnus Nwonka, aged 42, were apprehended by police officers from the Ojo Division region of Lagos State on Wednesday, December 20.

The reason behind their detention was their alleged involvement in the production of counterfeit beverages within the state.

Upon inspection, it was confirmed that Lawrence and Nwonka were indeed in possession of fake drinks.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the official spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed their arrest through his official Twitter account.

Hundeyin stated, “During the investigation process, the suspects cooperated and guided the detectives to their hidden, multi-room ‘factory’.” Furthermore, Hundeyin revealed that the discovery has prompted the initiation of a thorough investigation into the matter.
