Alhaji Sule Lamido, the former governor of Jigawa State, has expressed criticism towards President Bola Tinubu for taking a two-week vacation in the United Kingdom.
Lamido questioned whether Tinubu possessed human empathy, given his decision to go on vacation while Nigerians grapple with economic hardship and security challenges.
On Wednesday, the president left Nigeria for the UK to begin a two-week vacation.
Revealing this information, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, stated that the president’s trip was a component of his annual leave.

He plans to use the two weeks as both a working vacation and an opportunity to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.
“The statement indicated that he will come back to the country once his leave ends.”
In response, Lamido accused President Tinubu of intentionally causing hardship for Nigerians.
In a Facebook post titled “Deaf, Dumb, Confounded,” Lamido questioned: “While President Tinubu is in the comfort of Europe, does he possess the empathy, compassion, love, care and concern to contemplate on Nigerians’ dire situations?”
