The Lagos State Police Command successfully rescued three infants who were found locked up in a room by their grandmother in the Agodo-Egbe, Ikotun area of Lagos State, as reported by the command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
The grandmother, identified as Fatimo Ganiyu, was promptly arrested following the discovery.
Although the reason behind the grandmother’s actions remains undisclosed, the children, consisting of a girl and two boys aged between two and four years old, were found in a malnourished state and were only dressed in diapers when they were rescued.

Upon receiving information at Ikotun Division around 4:00 pm, a team of anti-crime detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer swiftly responded to the scene, ensuring the safe rescue of the children who were then taken to the station for further assistance, despite their poor health condition.
The suspect, Fatimo Ganiyu, was taken into custody while the infants are set to be transferred to receive the necessary medical treatment and care.
An ongoing investigation is in progress to uncover more details surrounding this distressing incident.
