Mr. P and Falz, two well-known Nigerian celebrities, have criticised the Nigeria Police for their actions during the current gubernatorial and State Houses of Assembly elections.

High levels of violence and intimidation tainted the 2023 Lagos State governor election.

According to reports, several of the assaults on voters and election supplies took place right in front of the security staff.

Social internet is awash with videos showing police personnel being hacked. The police had even dismissed the threat made against non-Lagosians by Musiliu Akinsanya, a.k.a. MC Oluomo, the chairman of the State’s Parks Management Committee.

Oluomo had warned Igbos living in Lagos State in a viral video, telling them to either vote for the All Progressives Party, APC in the current governorship elections, or stay inside.

Falz responded by tweeting, “I am really furious.

“What a bunch of fuckery this is!

“A couple of Arise TV journalists were very violently beaten up at my polling unit.

Of course, with police officers around.

Mr. P said, “In Nigeria, there are no police! All we got are hoodlums in uniform! DISGRACE ON THEM!
