Lady Accused of False Testimony Breaks Silence: ‘Don’t Look Down on Anyone
The woman accused of providing false testimony has broken her silence, delivering a powerful message urging empathy and understanding.
In her statement, she emphasized the importance of not underestimating or belittling others, regardless of their circumstances. Her words carry weight in the midst of the controversy surrounding her testimony, serving as a reminder of the need for compassion and fairness in our interactions with others. By speaking out, she hopes to shed light on the complexities of the situation and encourage a more empathetic approach to addressing issues.”
Anyim Vera, the individual who found herself in the midst of a controversy following her testimony at Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, has decided to address the situation.
Vera, who took to the pulpit to share her narrative of being the sole graduate in her family and attaining a “BSc in Law” from the National Open University of Nigeria, faced accusations of dishonesty from Senior Pastor Paul Eneche during the service on Sunday, April 14.
In a statement released on her Facebook account on Monday, April 15, Vera expressed her disappointment at being branded a liar by her spiritual mentor.
She explained that her error in stating “B.Sc” instead of “LLB” was due to her struggles with speaking English fluently and disclosed that she completed her studies with a Third Class degree from NOUN.
Vera conveyed her feelings by stating, “It’s disheartened because I can’t speak English like lawyers. I was labeled a liar for mistakenly saying B.Sc. instead of LLB. Actually, I graduated with a third class at NOUN. The rejected stone can become the cornerstone.
We’re reminded not to look down on anyone. You can’t imagine what I endured throughout the service. How shattered must I have felt to be disgraced by my spiritual leader in such a manner? I am no. 2262 on the list. Vera deserves better now.”
Additionally, in a separate post, she emphasized, “The Devil came to steal my testimony, but Jesus said no!”.
