Labour Party promises to ‘take back’ Imo State

Supporters have been assured that the Senator Athan Achonu Campaign Organisation and the State Working Committee of the Labour Party, LP are fully prepared to “Take Back Imo State” and turn it over to the people.

This was stated in a press release made accessible to journalists in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, by the SWC and Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council for the November 11 Imo State gubernatorial election.

“Our campaign is in full swing, and we are very prepared to ‘Take Back Imo’ State and hand it over to our people. Therefore, we are inaugurating our campaign council, which is made up of eminent Imolites and great party men,” the statement adds.

The Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council for the November 11 Imo State gubernatorial election has been established by the State Working Committee of the Labour Party and the Senator Athan Achonu Campaign Organisation.

“On Tuesday, September 12, 2023, the newly formed campaign council will be formally introduced before the start of the election campaigns.

The Senator Athan Achonu Campaign Headquarters, 158, MCC Uratta Road, Owerri, Imo State, is the location, and all members of the newly formed campaign council are anticipated to be seated by 11:30 a.m.

“All Local Government Chairmen and Coordinators are also anticipated to attend.”
