On Tuesday in Madrid, Spain, Kylian Mbappe was presented as a Real Madrid player.
After passing his medical exams in the morning, the France forward signed a contract that will last five years and received the No. 9 jersey from Florentino Perez, president of the club.
Mbappe exclaimed in Spanish with amazement to the thousands of fans assembled at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, “Wow!”
The 25-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain player expressed his long-term desire to play for Real Madrid, stating that this dream has now become a reality. He further added that he feels extremely happy and is committed towards dedicating himself completely in service of the club.
Although his new teammates kick-started their training on Monday, Mbappe – who captained France in the Euros – will avail himself of a few more days’ rest before he commences his season in the Spanish capital.
