The new Controller of the Kwara State Correctional Service is Oyun Adeyinka Adebayo.
Adebayo replaced Controller Salami Abdulraheem Olubamji, who was moved to the service’s Oyo State Command.
The outgoing controller thanked the command team for their assistance and support throughout his stay there and requested them to extend the same courtesy to his successor.
The new controller is an experienced professional correctional administrator who is from Ipe in Kwara State’s Oyun Local Government Area and has worked in a variety of positions across the country.
Adebayo held the positions of Squadron Commander for the Kwara State Command, Vice Principal for Academics at the Ganmo Borstal Training Institution in Kwara State, and Officer in Charge of the Old Ilorin Custodial Centre in the Ilorin city.
He also served as the Zone ” F” Controller of Operations in Ibadan, Oyo State, and most recently as the Controller of Corrections in Cross River State, from where he was redeployed to assume the position of Controller of Corrections in the State of Harmony.
In his address to the workforce, the new controller pledged to build on the accomplishments of his predecessor and asked for their help and support in carrying out his mandate for the service.
Adebayo emphasised discipline and exhorted the workforce to give better customer service.
