Kwankwaso is not under investigation by EFCC- NNPP chairman
Alhaji Hashimu Dungurawa, the chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State, stated that opponents cannot alter the course of events for the party’s presidential candidate for 2023, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Dungurawa claimed that the people opposing Kwankwaso were responsible for rumours that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, was looking into him.
According to reports, Kwankwaso was being investigated by the anti-graft agency for a purported N2.5 billion fraud.
Speaking to reporters in Kano, the NNPP leader, however, called the reports false and emphasised that Kwankwaso is a man of ability and honesty.

“We have been witnessing this type of rumour on multiple occasions,” he stated.
“Let them carry on spreading the rumours. Whether they like it or not, Kwankwaso is still the only candidate capable of leading this nation that possesses honesty, dignity, and public support.
“An opponent spread the rumour, ignorance spread it, and a fool believed it. Thankfully, none of us are all three of us. We are not fools, nor are we blind to what he has done; we are his lovers.
“None of these can change his destiny. However, they must be aware that rumours do not add value and will just make him more well-known.
