Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso has urged National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu to remain focused and not be distracted by challenges as he tackles Nigeria’s security issues.
Musa Kwankwaso, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has urged National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and other high-ranking officials in President Bola Tinubu’s administration to remain focused despite criticisms from the opposition.
Kwankwaso shared the advice in a statement he issued to journalists in Kano on Friday.
Ribadu should stay dedicated to his responsibility of safeguarding the lives and property of all Nigerians, while other officials in the Tinubu administration must focus on their respective duties.
They should remain focused and not let the attacks from certain opposition members distract them.
It is undeniable that the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, is making significant progress in his mission to secure the nation. Under his leadership, numerous previously restricted areas are now accessible, and hundreds of bandits as well as Boko Haram members and other non-state actors have been neutralized or surrendered.
He claimed that members of the opposition, including a former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, are uneasy with Ribadu’s exceptional success in securing the nation and have consequently launched attacks against him.
“They shouldn’t be concerned, as they are not displeased. The NSA and other key officials are enhancing President Bola Tinubu’s administration with their excellent performance in their respective roles,” he stated.
Regarding the condition of the APC in Kano, Kwankwaso mentioned that the party is becoming stronger in the state, highlighting its recent achievements.
Recently, some former commissioners from the NNPP Government in Kano State were welcomed by Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate. This action was not well-received by Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso.
He added, “We will keep welcoming more NNPP members into the APC as we plan for 2027, when, God willing, we’ll regain power in Kano State.”
