Mr. Femi Adegboye, a lecturer with Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State, was killed by a hit-and-run driver who has not yet been identified.
Adegboye was a lecturer, according to OBASANJO NEWS24, at the university’s Faculty of Science, Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
On Saturday, September 9, the tragedy happened as the deceased was waiting to take a taxi from Kaduna Junction on the Lokoja/Abuja Motorway to Osara, his place of employment.
In a statement on Tuesday, the head of CUSTECH’s public relations department, Osara Balogun Omeiza, confirmed the occurrence.
According to the announcement, Professor Salawu Sadiku, Vice Chancellor of CUSTECH, called the lecturer’s passing “shocking.”
“Mr. Femi Adegboye’s passing came as a severe shock to all of us, and we have no reason in the world to doubt God.
The outcome of Mr. Femi Adegboye’s untimely death has severed our relationships, and I must admit that this is a difficult pill for us as an institution to swallow. “As much as we wanted to have a long-lasting working relationship with Mr. Femi Adegboye, the result of his untimely death has cut off our relationships,” the vice chancellor stated.
Born on June 3, 1985, the late Adegboye. His wife, kids, and other relatives will miss him terribly.
On Thursday, September 14, 2023, his hometown of Egbe, Kogi State will have a Christian funeral ceremony for him.
