Kogi: Onyeka- AIG zone eight, retires from service

Bartholomew Nnamdi Onyeka, the AIG for Zone Eight, was overseen by the retired Assistant Inspector General of Police.

Onyeka is from Njaba Local Government Area in Imo State. He served as the 28th Assistant Inspector General of Police in Zone 8 Headquarters in Lokoja.

The former Assistant Inspector General (AIG), who oversaw the Kwara and Kogi States zones, earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Art from the prestigious University of Chandigarh, India in 1987, as well as a Master of Arts in Defence Studies from Punjabi University, Patiala, India in 1987.

He was trained at the Police Academy Annex in Kaduna State before joining the Nigeria Police Force on March 3, 1990, as a cadet ASP.

The AIG urged that the work be done with the utmost attention to duties and high ethics during his last lecture with the officers and men of the Zone, according to a statement made by Inspector Awi Ruth, the Zone 8 Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO).

He gave DCP Sylvester Edigbanyan the keys.
