Kogi election: You lack capacity, you can’t be governor, Wike slams Dino Melaye
Dino Melaye, a spokesperson for Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has been disqualified from serving as governor of Kogi State, according to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
If Melaye won the PDP’s nomination for governor, Wike forewarned that the party would fall.
Speaking to a few media in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Wike emphasised that the former Kogi West Senator lacked the ability to lead a state.
According to Wike, “If you give Dino the gubernatorial ticket, you know he will fail; there is no way he can win. Why would Kogi residents claim they would support a politician like Dino?
“People cannot vote for Dino because he is from Kogi; Dino lacks the qualifications to lead the state or serve as governor. It’s not through appearing on television to be dramatic or disparage Wike.
Melaye entered the Kogi State governor’s contest last week as the PDP was ready to hold its primary election there.
