Kogi community experiences the loss of two lives due to shooting incident
Gunmen whose identities remain unknown have tragically taken the lives of two young individuals in Ogbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, as reported by Obasanjonews.com.
The perpetrators were reportedly armed with advanced weaponry, allowing them to carry out the attack without any interference from local security forces.
An anonymous source revealed that the victims, who were actively involved in community projects, were brutally murdered by individuals believed to be of Fulani descent near the Oyi River before reaching Ogbe Town.
This devastating incident has plunged the historic town into a state of mourning, with efforts underway to address the aftermath.

Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, expressed his dismay over the incident and reiterated his previous advocacy for the establishment of state police in response to the escalating banditry and kidnapping cases in Yagba land.
He also urged the Kogi State government to prioritize the construction of the Egbe–Ogbe road in Yagba West Local Council to enhance accessibility and security in the region.
Senator Karimi extended his condolences to the affected families and the entire Ogbe community during this challenging time.
