Abubakar Ohere’s appeal was dismissed by the court due to its lack of merit.
In response, Ombugadu congratulated Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan on her commitment to public service and recognised her historic accomplishment as the first female senator to represent Kogi State.
“Congratulations on your groundbreaking victory at the Appeal Court and your achievement as the first female senator in Kogi State,” Ombugadu wrote in a message posted on his Facebook page.
“Many people find encouragement in your tenacity, devotion, and unshakable passion to public service, particularly the aspirational young women in your neighbourhood and beyond.
“The achievement of this historic milestone represents a major advancement in the fight for gender equality and female empowerment. There’s no doubt that under your leadership, Kogi State will undergo positive development and transformation—you are a beacon of hope and growth.
Ombugadu wished for continued success and significant achievements for the benefit of his constituents and the country as a whole.
