‘Buga,’ a popular song by Kizz Daniel, is “actually” the anthem of Africa, in contrast to Vice President Kashim Shettima’s assertion that it is almost becoming Nigeria’s second national anthem.

In a recent interview, Shettima asserted that Kizz Daniel and Tekno’s song “Buga” is on the verge of becoming the nation’s second national anthem, all the while praising the artistic and cultural achievements of Nigeria. Obasanjo News24 recalled this.

Reacting to a viral clip of the interview on X, Kizz Daniel commended Shettima for his comment but noted that the song is the continent’s anthem, not only Nigeria.

It is the hymn of the continent, he wrote. I am grateful to Vice President Kashim Shettima.
