In preparation for their three-day state visit to France, King Charles and Queen Camilla have arrived in Paris.

Prior to going to the Elysée Palace, they are scheduled to participate in a ceremony with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Arc de Triomphe.

The King will then speak with Macron before this evening’s formal banquet.

Due to demonstrations against French pension reforms, the trip was originally scheduled to leave in March but was delayed.

Hugh Grant, Arsene Wenger, and Didier Drogba are among those who will attend tonight’s supper with the King and Queen.

They enter the grounds of the Élysée Palace and are once more greeted by the fanfare of a trumpet and a drum.

Along with Queen Camilla and the French First Lady Brigitte Macron, President Macron and King Charles smile for the camera.

After that, they continue their three-day visit inside.
