“Aivoji was abducted on Thursday, January 25 at about 6:00 pm on the Lagos-Ibadan motorway while returning from a stakeholders meeting in Oyo State convened by Gov. Seyi Makinde and Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun,” appealed Lagos State PDP Publicity Secretary Alhaji Hakeem Amode in a statement on Friday.
The fact that kidnapping has become a major problem in our nation is depressing, and it is extremely worrying that the government is unable to stop this threat.
“The kidnapping of Aivoji highlights the urgent necessity for the government and stakeholders to take serious measures to end this threat.
“Aivoji’s kidnapping was a violent event, and it is unknown where he is at the moment or if he has heard from his captors.
We beg the state governments of Ogun, Lagos, and Oyo, as well as security services, to work quickly to ensure his safe return to his loved ones.
According to the PDP spokesman, Aivoji would be freed from these criminals with more efforts from the security services.
He said, “We urge the public to back initiatives meant to put an end to this threat to innocent lives.”
