A spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Committee, Festus Keyamo has petitioned the Department of State Services, DSS requesting the secret police to arrest Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party in the just ended presidential election.
Keyamo, who is presently the Minister of State for Labor and Employment, requested that Obi and his running companion, Datti Ahmed, be detained and charged with a crime including “incitement and treason.”
In the appeal submitted to the Director General, State Services, and dated March 23, the minister noted that in a post-election moment such as this, there is a need to calm frayed nerves, decrease the temperature and begin the healing process.
Keyamo noted that since the declaration of the presidential election results, Obi and his running mate have been hopping from one media house to the other making incendiary comments and claims regarding the declaration of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
