Kefas promises to reduce former governors’ and deputies’ benefits in Taraba
The current governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has pledged to pay all pensions and other benefits due to the outgoing governors and their appointees.
This was said by him last weekend while he was hosting the former governor Jolly Nyame and his predecessor, Alhaji Armanyau Abubakar, at the Government House in Jalingo, the state capital.
In order to eliminate any backlogs left by his predecessors, the governor promised that his government will take every possible measure.
He emphasised the importance of uniting the populace for the sake of the State, regardless of their political, religious, or tribal ties.
He stated, “It is the collective duty of every Taraban to mobilise their wealth of expertise to offer their quota to the growth of the State.
Nyame clapped in agreement with Kefas and vowed to support the State’s current leadership without reservation.
He praised the Governor’s efforts, saying that despite their political and religious differences, the Governor has been able to uplift all the residents of the state.
