The Yauri Emirate Council, the local government, and the immediate family members of the victims in a boat accident involving 30 traders have all received condolences from the Kebbi State Government.
23 persons were thought to have died in the dreadful catastrophe.
It was discovered that the boat, which was carrying 30 traders and their wares, capsized on its way from Kasabo village to Yauri town on Monday.
In a statement on Tuesday, Alhaji Ahmed Idris, the governor’s chief press secretary, claimed that his boss had conveyed a message of condolence to the affected neighbourhood.
Gov. Idris urged the impacted families to accept God’s will in a spirit of goodwill and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed Jannatul Firdaus (Paradise) for them.
“I want to implore you to consider what transpired to be the unquestionable will of the All-Powerful Allah and to accept it as good fortune. We should also keep asking Allah to overlook their transgressions and grant them Jannatul Firdaus, he said.
The governor prayed to Almighty God to put an end to future occurrences of this kind of horrible circumstance as well as for those injured during it to recover quickly.
