The Katsina state government has relaxed the curfew, citing improved security conditions and a return to normalcy in the region.

Recently, the Katsina State Government assessed the curfew that was previously enforced across the state.

According to a statement released on Saturday by Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, the state’s Director of Press, the curfew in place has been modified.

Rather than prohibiting movement from 7:00 pm until 7:00 am as previously specified, it will now commence at 10:00pm and conclude at 5:00am throughout the entire state.

The Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Garba Faskari, revealed that the Acting Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal expressed contentment with reports of enhanced security across all parts of the state.

Thus he promptly instructed a reconsideration of curfew measures as an immediate response.

According to the statement, Malam Faruk Lawal expressed gratitude towards both the security personnel and citizens for their cooperative behavior during the efforts of government in regulating the situation.

As individuals go about their daily routines, he suggested them to stay compliant with the law.
