The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano has suspended two prominent officials: Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the State Secretary to the Government (SSG), and Muhammad Diggol, the Commissioner of Transportation.

The State party Chairman, Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, confirmed the suspension late on Monday.

According to Dungurawa, the pair were suspended because of accusations related to disloyalty, misuse of power, and activities that disrupted the party.

The announcement came after an audio clip, in which the suspension was initially mentioned, began circulating and sparked discussions among party members.

Today, we are announcing the suspension of SSG Abdullahi Baffa Bichi and Commissioner of Transportation Muhammad Diggol due to allegations of power abuse, office misconduct, and disloyalty to the party.

We commend the party leadership from their wards and the local government, as confirmed to us. They all hail from Bichi North and have brought this issue to our attention in writing.

As leaders of the party, we convened and decided that this is the best course of action to take until our investigation on the issue is complete.

According to Platinumpost, a crisis is escalating among the stakeholders in the NNPP within Bichi.
