The Commissioner of Police for the Kano State Police Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba, has instructed the Anti-Cyber Crime Unit to investigate and apprehend those responsible for this abominable act which may incite public enmity towards law enforcement.
The CP cautions against the interference of false information and hate speech, as they have the potential to stir up violence and impact security in the State.
The Kano State Government received praise from the CP for its fast action in implementing a state-wide curfew lasting 24 hours.
Kiyawa added that the CP urges parents, guardians and law-abiding citizens who witnessed their wards in possession of looted items to willingly surrender them at the nearest police station.
