A group of enraged youths in Gwarzo Local Government area of Kano State attempted to take justice into their own hands by attacking two suspected kidnappers who were apprehended by a Joint Security Task Force in Riga community.

The Acting Chairman of the Council, Dr. Mani Tsoho, expressed dismay at the violent actions of the youths, emphasizing the importance of allowing the legal system to handle such cases rather than resorting to vigilantism.
The suspects, believed to be responsible for multiple abductions in the area, were identified as individuals from Katsina State who had been causing fear and chaos in the Riga community for an extended period.
Following the incident, the local government council has taken steps to repair damaged security vehicles and secure the release of detained youths, while also reinforcing border patrols to prevent further criminal activities in the region.
The district head of Gwarzo, Alh. Shehu Kabiru Bayero, praised the efforts of security personnel in restoring peace and order to the affected community, underscoring the importance of upholding the rule of law and maintaining public safety.
