The Kano Pillars Football Club’s management has expressed sympathy to the team’s supporters following Monday’s loss to Sporting Lagos FC.
In a statement, the club’s assistant media officer, Mubarak Madungurum, expressed sympathy on behalf of the chairman, Alhaji Babangida Umar.
According to Umar, he felt compelled to express his sympathy to the club’s supporters because of the help and company they had been providing the Kano Darling squad both at home and away.

He mentioned that on Monday at Onikan Stadium in Lagos, Pillars lost to Sporting Lagos FC by a score of three goals to zero.
He challenged the squad’s players and technical staff to “instill the habit of team spirit in the club.”
The State Government’s assistance and collaboration with the club were highly appreciated by the chairman.
He expressed his hope that the gesture would continue and gave his word that he would not let the state’s citizens or government down.
Then, he exhorted all supporters of football in the state to turn out in large numbers on Sunday to watch the “Sai Masu Gida” defeat Enyimba FC of Aba.
