The request by Governor Uba Sani to strike down the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s petition was denied by the Kaduna State Governorship Election Tribunal.

A suit was filed by the PDP and its candidate, Isah Mohammed Ashiru, to contest the announcement of Sani of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the victor of the Kaduna governorship election.
The second preliminary objection concerning pre-hearing notification was similarly overruled by the Tribunal.
The judge stated that “hereby dismissed” was the first and respondents’ objection.
According to the court’s decision, Isah Ashiru fully filed his petition within the allotted time and was not past the deadline.
