In the state civil service, 231 senior officers from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies have been authorised for promotion by the Kano State Civil Service Commission.
This is what Musa Garba, the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Civil Service Commission, said in a statement on Friday.
Umar Minjibir, the CSC Chairman, reportedly revealed this to the commission during a recent meeting, according to Garba.

He clarified that the remaining instances handled included 50 authorised cases of transfers of service, one case of a name change, one case of a cadre change, and one case of disciplinary action.
In order to guarantee a result-oriented civil service in the state, Minjibir thus urged the impacted employees, particularly those promoted and transferred, to return the government’s goodwill by increasing productivity and demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility in the performance of their tasks.
The chairman was cited as stating, “I want to enjoin all promoted staff members to reciprocate the gesture by being more dedicated and committed to their duties,” in the announcement.
In addition, he pleaded with all civil servants, especially those employed by the commission, to always follow the service standards and maintain the highest confidentiality when managing official matters as required by the oath of secrecy.
He urged the leaders of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to immediately address issues that impact the advancement and development of their employees as soon as they become relevant.
