Kaduna: Troops kill nine terrorists, seize weapons
Troops in Kaduna successfully eliminate nine terrorists and seize a machine gun along with AK-47 rifles during operations.
According to the Nigerian Army, a number of terrorists were eradicated by forces during confrontations with bandits in Kampani Doka and Rifigoro neighborhoods within Birnin Gwari Local Government Area situated in Kaduna State.
On its social media platform, the troops announced that they had retrieved a significant cache of hazardous automatic weapons and ammo.
Upon sighting the troops, the terrorists in their stronghold near Kampanin Doka opened fire and put up a strong resistance against the offensive operations conducted by them.
According to the report, after an extended gun battle, the courageous soldiers utilized their superior weaponry to conquer and render ineffective 7 of the terrorists.

As per the report, in addition to that, three AK-47 rifles were retrieved by the troops along with eight fully equipped magazines for AK-47 (four of which contained 120 rounds of specialized 7.62 mm ammunition), a carrier for magazine, six motorcycles, two Baofeng communication radios and three pairs of civilian clothing.
The soldiers also planned to launch attacks on Gayam village in the aforementioned local government area. During their mission, they successfully eliminated a well-known insurgent leader, causing some of his associates to escape with injuries from gunshots and leaving behind their gear and weaponry.
The troops managed to retrieve a PKT machine gun that had eight rounds of ammunition, a Baofeng radio, several communication devices, an SMF magazine and 14 mobile SIM cards. This was stated in the report.
