Kaduna, three civilians killed when troops stop two escaping Bandits
In the course of repelling a criminal attack on Kankomi Village in Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Area on Sunday, Nigerian Army soldiers eliminated two bandits.
Samuel Aruwan, the state’s commissioner for internal security and home affairs, revealed this in a statement. He also claimed that other criminals fled with gunshot wounds.
The commissioner said that assailants made an effort to enter the area where the troops were stationed, but the watchful soldiers retaliated by engaging them in a furious gun battle that lasted for more than an hour.
He reveals that as a consequence, one terrorist who was dressed in military camouflage battle gear was killed, while the others managed to flee with gunshot wounds.
The soldiers captured the robbers’ one AK-47 gun, seven AK-47 magazines, seven rounds of ammo, and five home-made grenades.
Sadly, the forces discovered three bodies while using the criminals’ escape path; it appears that residents were slain by the escaping bandits.
Another event was the conduct of clearing patrols by Operation Forest Sanity soldiers along the Gwagwada-Chikun-Sarkin Pawa axis, extending from the Chikun LGA to close interstate boundary territories.
The report states that terrorists were contacted on a high ground in front of Kafaiyo. An AK-47 rifle was found after one terrorist was killed.
In addition, two terrorists ran away when they saw the soldiers, leaving behind their motorbikes, which were later found.
Around Kafaiyo, Dafako, Kopi, and Gadani, the forces fully evicted a number of terrorist camps.
