The list of 1,051 beneficiaries for the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and Defined Benefits Scheme (DBS) has been made public by the Kaduna State Pension Bureau.

Through Muhammad Lawal Shehu’s Facebook page, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the list of 873 beneficiaries who have been shortlisted for the payment of Gratuity and Death Benefits under the Defined Benefits Schemes (DBS) for local governments, state retirees, and the families of the deceased, was made public.

According to OBASANJO NEWS24, Senator Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna State, authorised the transfer of 3.1 billion naira to the State Pension Bureau in order to pay accrued pension and gratuity.

After then, on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, the State Pension Bureau has mandated that all verification payment exercises begin.

As a result, the exercise for all local governments under Zone 3 will start at the Jema’s Local Government Secretariat office in Kafanchan.

“For all local governments under Zone 1, Sabon Gari Local Government Secretariat.”

The statement read, “Pension Bureau Office for Local Governments under the Central Zone.”
