According to the Kaduna State Police Command, one terrorist has been neutralised in the hamlet of Amana Maimadachi in the state’s Igabi Local Government Area.
At Saminaka in the Lere LGA, the command also caught two people who they thought were thieves and found an AK-47.
DSP Muhammad Jalige, the command’s spokesman, made this statement in a statement released on Sunday in Kaduna.
He claimed that the command’s relentless pursuit of criminal elements and hoodlums had resulted in yet another significant advancement.
“As operatives assigned to the Rigachikun Division received a panicked call on January 14 at around 1:00 a.m. that bandits had broken into one Umar Ibrahim’s home in the Amana Maimadachi village to carry out their nefarious activities.
“The crack operatives and other local security players quickly mobilised and proceeded to the area where the bandits were engaged, and their effort to abduct law-abiding residents was stopped.”
One of the robbers wearing a military camouflage suit was neutralised by the operators as they tactically carried out the operation, while the others managed to flee while suffering critical bullet wounds.

He claimed that the bandit had lost an AK-47 rifle that was still functional and loaded with four rounds of live fire.
Jalige says that on January 13, people from the Saminaka Division started a successful operation in the Warsa Piti Area of the Saminaka Lere LGA after getting good information.
He claimed that during the operation, the police detained two alleged bandits.
“After a thorough search, a Dane gun and a locally made GPMG rifle with six rounds of live ammunition were also found.”
He added that the accused would soon be charged in court and that they were actively supporting the police with their investigations.
According to the release, Mr. Yekini Ayoku, the Commissioner of Police, praised the staff for their bravery during various operations throughout the state.
Anyoku gave the order for a strict patrol of the area to catch the fleeing bandits and a thorough investigation of the people who were caught as suspects to put a stop to their illegal activities.
Anyoku asked state residents to work with the police and other security agencies while reiterating the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
