Kaduna State’s Uba Sani, the governor, responded to the decision made by the State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal on Thursday.

He claimed that the ruling was a resounding reinforcement of the mandate that the state’s citizens had given him.

However, according to OBASANJO NEWS24, there is uncertainty regarding the tribunal’s ruling.

despite some sources claimed the court upheld Sani’s victory after rejecting the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) petition and that of Isa Ashiru, another PDP candidate, other reports claimed the court fired the governor despite claiming the poll was fair.

However, in his response to the verdict, Uba praised it and expressed his immense joy.

In a statement he personally signed, he claimed that “the judgement is an unequivocal affirmation of the popular mandate graciously given to me by the good people of Kaduna State.”

I applaud the Tribunal’s thoroughness and clarity. They have improved our legal doctrine and electoral democracy procedures.

“I also applaud my beloved brother, Hon. Isah Ashiru Kudan, for coming before the Tribunal to air his complaints.

“This is a blatant illustration of his commitment to democratic values and the need for civility among political participants.

“I appeal to Hon. Isah Ashiru and Kaduna State’s opposition party members to work with us as we work to elevate our beloved state to a greater level.

All of us are involved in PROJECT KADUNA. It is not for personal glorification. All hands must be on deck to address the state’s numerous problems, according to our people. If political players band together, a strong message that the pursuit of peace, security, progress, and the growth of our state are the driving forces behind our participation in politics will be delivered to our people.

“I urge the supporters of our party to temper their joy at this triumph. They need to reach out to our kin in other political parties, both individually and collectively.

“Instead of celebrating, we should kneel before the All-Powerful God and ask for His continued protection and direction. Let’s concentrate on the work at hand.
