Bola Tinubu, the incoming president, has voted in the Lagos State elections for the state legislature and governor.
On Saturday morning, Tinubu cast his ballot at polling place 085 Alausa, Ikeja, and urged Nigerians to turn out in large numbers to exercise their right to vote.
He declared: “I just participated in the ongoing gubernatorial and state assembly elections alongside other Nigerians as part of my civic duty. I urge everyone to cast their ballots peacefully.
According to Obasanjonews24, the Lagos governor’s race is being fiercely fought by a number of candidates, including prominent Labour Party candidate Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress.
