(JUST IN) Tinubu Receives Warm Welcome from Prominent Igbos at Enugu Airport
President Tinubu arrives at Enugu airport for an official visit, greeted by prominent Igbo leaders in a show of unity and respect.
President Bola Tinubu arrived at Enugu’s Akanu Ibiam International Airport on Saturday for a one-day official visit. He landed aboard the Nigeria Air Force Airbus A330 at around 1:22 PM.
The President was greeted by Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Abia State Governor Alex Otti, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Benjamin Kalu who is the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim, Minister of Works Dave Umahi, renowned businessman Arthur Ezeh and other notable Igbo figures.
As stated by Professor Chidiebere Onyia, the Secretary to the State Government, President Tinubu is set to inaugurate the Enugu International Conference Centre, a key project under Mbah’s administration.
Furthermore, Tinubu is set to inaugurate 30 out of the 260 Enugu Smart Green Schools and 60 of the completed Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres across various wards in the state. Additional projects slated for unveiling include 90 urban roads within Enugu City, a cutting-edge Command and Control Centre, a fleet of 150 AI-enabled patrol vehicles, as well as several rural road networks.
During his visit, the President’s agenda highlights his dedication to promoting development in different sectors throughout the region.
