Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have reached the State House in Abuja for an important meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to the most recent report, the legislators arrived in two coaster buses and have been permitted into the President’s office area where they are waiting for their meeting.

The delegation comprises both the reinstated Speaker, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, and the former Speaker who was ousted, Hon. Mojisola Miranda, highlighting the continuing power struggle within the Assembly.

Meranda and her colleagues arrived shortly after 2 p.m., while Obasa showed up separately around 2:50 p.m.

The meeting may be related to the recent leadership crisis in the State House of Assembly.

It is worth noting that Hon. Obasa was initially impeached as Speaker by the majority of his colleagues, but he was later reinstated following the intervention of political leaders, particularly the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC).

Although the Speaker has been reinstated, tensions remain high due to lingering resentment from his impeachment.
