Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has left the United Kingdom and is set to visit another European country as part of his ongoing international engagements.
President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to leave London, United Kingdom, and head to Paris, France, for another ‘significant engagement.’
This was revealed by Ibrahim Masari, a close political ally of Tinubu and his former placeholder running mate, on Friday evening.
On October 2, 2024, Tinubu traveled to London for a two-week vacation.
Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, issued a statement indicating that the “working vacation” is part of his annual leave. The statement also mentioned that after this period ends, the president will return to Nigeria.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja today for the United Kingdom to start a two-week vacation, as part of his annual leave.
He plans to spend the two weeks as a working vacation and retreat, reflecting on his administration’s economic reforms.
“The statement indicated that he would return to the country once his leave ended.”
This is the first time President Tinubu will take a leave since assuming office in May 2023, although he has undertaken several foreign trips during this period.
