Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has returned to Abuja to represent President Bola Tinubu at the just concluded 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
His arrival was announced by his spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, in a statement on Sunday.
During his stay in New York, the Vice President delivered the Nigerian National Declaration at the General Debate.
He participated in bilateral meetings and numerous peripheral events held within the framework of the General Assembly.
“Vice President Shettima will then attend some events held as part of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day activities with President Bola Tinubu,” the statement added.
