After experiencing a total blackout for several days, power supply has been restored across various northern states in Nigeria, alleviating the ongoing energy crisis for residents.

Power has been restored to Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, and Benue states under the Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) franchise following a lengthy outage.

The power restoration took place around 7:20 p.m. on Wednesday, sparking celebrations among residents of Jos, the capital of Plateau State, who expressed their joy at having electricity back.

Over the last ten days, several northern states have experienced power outages due to a disruption caused by the tripping of the 330kV transmission line connecting Benue and Enugu states.

The blackout significantly disrupted residents’ daily activities and businesses, leading to widespread frustration over the difficulties brought about by the power outage.

Additional details will be provided soon…
