On Wednesday, the Lagos State Police Command’s anti-bomb squad effectively rendered an improvised explosive device (IED) inoperable within Ikeja vicinity.
Obasanjonews.com Online received confirmation from Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state. He clarified that an unregistered vehicle left a bag containing an explosive device on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way’s roadside.

Hundeyin said that for the sake of public safety, the IED was promptly deactivated by the anti-bomb squad.
An inquiry is being conducted by law enforcement officials to determine the source of the device and those who are accountable for its installation. In the meantime, authorities have advised citizens to stay alert and notify their nearby police station if they come across any dubious behaviour or objects.
