Okpebholo officially takes office as the new governor of Edo State, succeeding Governor Obaseki in a ceremony marking a new chapter in the state’s leadership.
Monday Okpebholo has been sworn in as the governor of Edo, bringing an end to Godwin Obaseki’s six-year tenure leading the South-South state.
The event occurred on Tuesday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, the state capital, two months following the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing their position for Dennis Osadebay House.
Okpebholo, accompanied by his running mate Dennis Idahosa, was sworn into office.
