JUST IN: List of 22 justices nominated for Supreme Court revealed

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has received a list of the 22 Justices of the Court of Appeal who the Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC) has proposed for the Supreme Court.

The nominees’ identities, which come from different parts of the nation, were made public on Thursday in a FJSC document.

There are six nominees from the North-Central region, and two each from the South-West and South-South regions. There are two nominees from the North-East and six from the South-East.

There are now just 10 judges on the Supreme Court, following the retirement of judges Amina Augie and Mohammed Datijo.
