Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has reported to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for questioning, amid ongoing investigations into financial matters.
Yahaya Bello, a past Governor of Kogi State, has once more responded to an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission regarding allegations of fund misappropriation.
Reports indicate that the former governor, currently facing various challenges, visited the anti-corruption agency’s office on Tuesday morning accompanied by his legal team.
His visit to the commission comes after the Supreme Court ruling that rejected the states’ challenge regarding the constitutionality of the anti-graft agency.
It was also reported that Bello arrived at the EFCC office in a black Hilux, driving himself and accompanied by his lawyers.

Last week, there were hints suggesting that he might visit the EFCC; however, when inquiries were made about this information, the former governor’s media aides did not provide a response.
At the previous hearing on November 14 regarding new charges against the former governor, which are before Justice Maryanne Anenih at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Maitama, Abuja, the EFCC requested a postponement to tomorrow (November 27). The Commission stated that they still had time within their 30-day window for responding to an earlier-issued summons.
The EFCC admitted his co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, to administrative bail and requested the court for additional time for the 1st Defendant to make an appearance.
The trial judge later postponed the matter for Bello’s arraignment.
